All the details as England take on Mexico in the World Cup round of 16 at the Mexico City Stadium:
Kick-off and location: The last-16 tie between Mexico and England is due to kick-off at 1am UK time on Monday, July 6 at Mexico City Stadium. There had been reports of the clash being moved forward to 7pm UK time on Sunday, July 5. However, it will now remain at its original scheduled time.
Potential delay: Under tournament safety rules, the match would be delayed by 30 minutes if any lightening strikes are detected within eight miles of the Mexico City Stadium. Mexico's 2-0 victory over Ecuador at the Mexico City Stadium in the round of 32 was delayed by an hour after a thunderstorm. The kick-off in the second half of the Group I encounter between France and Iraq at Philadelphia Stadium was delayed by more than two hours because of lightning strikes in the area.
Weather latest: An hour before kick-off (5pm local time on Sunday, July 5), the temperature is currently predicted to be 22°C with a 63% chance of rain. Thunderstorms are forecast in the area at that time, with a risk of lightning.
Weather warning: Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol said: “FIFA has decided for the time being that the game will kick off as originally planned at 1am UK time. But we are being told there’s an 80 per cent chance of thunderstorms. If there are storms, if there is lightning, then the players would be led back into the dressing room. The fans would be asked to leave and go to the concourses to stay away from the threat of lightning. The game would be held up. Last summer there were games in the US delayed by up to two or even two and a half hours. Now if that happens, if the game doesn’t kick off at 1am, what if it kicks off at 3am, and then goes to penalties. Fans should prepare for the possibility that the game doesn’t kick off at 1am. And prepare for the possibility that it could last a lot longer. And that’s purely because of the threat of extreme weather here in Mexico on Sunday evening.”
Altitude factor: Whatever the weather, a big factor England will face is Mexico City's altitude. At about 2,200m (7,200 ft) above sea level, the thinner air can affect players' stamina.
How to watch in the UK: The Mexico vs England match will be shown live and free-to-air on BBC One. Coverage gets under way on BBC One at 12am. Those wishing to watch online in the UK can access a free live stream via the BBC iPlayer app or by heading to the BBC Sport website.
How to listen in the UK: For those unable to watch on a screen, live audio commentary is available on both BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT.
Who England will face if they beat Mexico: Should England overcome one of the World Cup hosts, their reward would be a quarter-final showdown against Brazil or Norway in Miami on Saturday, July 11 (10pm kick-off, UK time).
