Como sporting director Carlalberto Ludi has publicly confirmed the club's admiration of Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah as talks continue over his future at Stamford Bridge.
As reported last month, the Blues do not consider Chalobah untouchable this summer and will allow him to leave the club should the right offer arrive their way. Chelsea's asking price for the England international, who is currently in Mexico City gearing up for England's World Cup last-16 tie, is said to be between £30-35million.
Chalobah's representatives are said to be in Italy at the time of writing as they try to find a solution for the defender. Como, at one point, looked to be the front-runners for the Cobham graduate but Inter Milan now have some momentum behind them, sources say, as the two Italian clubs go head-to-head for the 26-year-old central defender.

Ludi, the sporting director with plenty of power when it comes to transfer business at Como, has now publicly stated the club's admiration of Chalobah. "Chalobah is a very strong player," said Ludi, before moving onto other Como targets.
Chelsea's pursuit of Maxence Lacroix has gone a bit quiet over the last week or so and when football.london chased on the matter, a source said there is still plenty of time left in the transfer window and how the deal has become more complicated by Crystal Palace trying to line up replacements before allowing the France international to leave.

The Eagles will allow Lacroix to leave Selhurst Park for the right price - and they are in a strong position in that respect due to the Frenchman still having three years remaining on his contract. Palace are interested in Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell but it is Rennes who look like the current favourites to sign the former Leeds United centre back.

While Lacroix seems to be Chelsea's priority in the centre of defence, the Blues have a long list of options in that position. Sources say Como defender Jacobo Ramon is hugely appreciated by Stamford Bridge officials.
