Liverpool narrowly clinched the fifth and final Champions League spot via the Premier League last season, with 60 points proving enough to get the job done.
It means Andoni Iraola will have the opportunity to manage in the Champions League for the first time in his career after his appointment at Anfield.

The Reds will be joined by Arsenal, Man City, Man United, and Aston Villa in the league phase, as they all finished above Liverpool in the Premier League table.
Only seven spots remain up for grabs via qualifying this summer, with the rest filled by teams who qualified via their final position in the table in 2025/26.
League Winners
Champions League and Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, La Liga winners Barcelona, and Serie A champions Inter all booked their place with silverware.
Shakhtar Donetsk, PSV, Club Brugge, Slavia Prague, Porto and Galatasaray did likewise in their respective leagues.

Top Five Leagues
Those who also qualified from Europe’s top five leagues include La Liga’s Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Real Betis and Villarreal, and Serie A’s Roma, Como, and Napoli.
The Bundesliga will also be represented by Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Stuttgart, with Ligue 1 also seeing Lille and Lens qualify.
The Rest
Sporting CP have also qualified from the Primeira Liga, along with Eredivisie runners-up Feyenoord, now managed by ex-Liverpool assistant Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
When is the Champions League draw?
Liverpool will discover their eight opponents in the league phase on August 27, following the conclusion of the playoff rounds.
The Reds cannot face fellow Premier League teams at this stage of the competition.

Liverpool will be in Pot 1 for the draw, along with PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Man City, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Each team will face two sides from each of Pots 1, 2, 3 and 4, playing one at home and one away, cannot be drawn against more than two opponents from the same association.
In the new format, Liverpool have made it to the last 16 and quarter-finals in the last two seasons respectively, both times being knocked out by eventual winners PSG.
