Arsenal Women have signed German international striker Selina Cerci from Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, where she netted 34 goals in 47 appearances.
In 2024-25, she was the Bundesliga’s joint top scorer, and last season she had the highest goal contribution of any player in the league, netting 16 goals and providing nine assists.
Cerci had previous stints with Bayern Munich’s second team, scoring 15 goals in 22 appearances, and with Werder Bremen, netting 19 goals in 29 games over two seasons, before moving on to spells with Turbine Potsdam and FC Köln.
Internationally, she has played 20 times for her country and scored five times.
The forward told www.arsenal.com: “I’m very excited to be here – it’s a big honour to play for Arsenal and I can’t wait to start. This is an opportunity to compete against and play alongside top players in one of the best leagues in the world. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and walking out at Emirates Stadium in front of all our supporters.”
Head Coach Renée Slegers said: “I’m so pleased that Selina will be joining our group. She has impressive goalscoring numbers and brings good presence, physicality and forward intent. Combined with her strong work ethic, we feel these qualities make her a great addition to our squad.”
