Transfer rumours relating to players coming to Arsenal, as reported in the media. These have been collated by me but I don’t guarantee the accuracy of anything that follows.
Headline of the day: “Arsenal simply have to sign a midfielder this summer, that much is clear.” Really????? The player suggested is Morgan Rogers.
But still, maybe Arsenal will make a bid, because each of the 33 players listed below has been seriously tipped for a move to Arsenal before the transfer window “slams shut” (as the media will have it). The window creaked open on 15 June and actually closes on 1 September. Other countries may vary but we are currently being told the slamming happens at 11pm.
Meanwhile, as a way of providing cheap, or mostly absolutely free, articles on the subject the media now have 33 Arsenal-bound players listed. And when they don’t turn up, the reason will probably be, either that Arsenal were too slow, or “not prepared to pay” the amount asked.
So here we go with the current 33 players listed. Don’t blame me if any don’t arrive! But just before I do let loose, there is one fascinating twist that has emerged. It is “Arsenal make enquiries for Premier League star…” and you can slip in any other club and/or league to find lots of such headlines.
Actually, the fact is that most of these are distractions – clubs make an enquiry about Player A in order to hide the fact that they are actually after Player Z. Life is not always what it seems. Here are the listings found thus far…
