As reported by TEAMtalk, Nottingham Forest came into the transfer race for Curtis Jones. They banked a staggering 116 million pounds from selling Elliot Anderson to Man City. Forest manager Vitor Pereira identified the 25-year-old midfielder as a top summer target to rebuild his squad. However, as reported by Liverpool Offside, Jones is not interested in joining Nottingham. He wants to play European football next season.
Meanwhile, Italian giants Inter Milan have been leading a long-running pursuit of the England international. As reported by The Athletic, Liverpool rejected a verbal offer from Inter Milan worth around 21.7 million pounds. The Italian side preferred a loan deal with an option to buy. The Reds have remained completely firm on their financial demands. Liverpool have set an asking price of 35 million to 40 million pounds, which has stalled negotiations with Inter.
