Everton manager David Moyes has admitted he is "glad to see the back of" Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, brushing aside a light-hearted suggestion about a potential move for the out-of-contract Egyptian this summer.
Salah departed Liverpool at the conclusion of last season following a trophy-laden spell at Anfield, during which he claimed two Premier League titles, the 2019 Champions League, a Club World Cup, the FA Cup in 2022, and two League Cups.
The Egypt captain, who is hopeful of lining up against Argentina in a World Cup quarter-final on Tuesday, netted nine times against the Blues throughout his time as a Red.
Speaking on Egyptian television channel ON Sport, Moyes confessed he is relieved that the No. 11 has finally moved on from Everton's fierce local rivals.
"I am not a specialist on Mo Salah because my team is Everton and we are fierce competitors," Moyes said, reports the Liverpool Echo.
"But I think all Evertonians were glad to see the back of Mo because he has been so good over the years. He's been a great goalscorer, a good player and he has been enjoyed by the Liverpool supporters.

"So I think we are all glad to see that Mo is leaving Liverpool. I am sure it won't be the end for him. But the performances during his career at Liverpool have been exceptional."
On the prospect of Salah signing for Everton, Moyes added: "No, no. Not possible. The rivalry is too big.
"Mohamed Salah's meaning to Liverpool is too big, so that would be impossible."
Salah is yet to reveal where his future lies following his departure from Liverpool, and will stay without a club until Egypt's World Cup campaign comes to an end.
