Dwight McNeil in action for Everton
Everton confirmed the permanent arrival of Tyrique George on Monday, but that was not the only piece of business done.
The England Under-21s international spent last season on loan at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Despite his relative lack of impact, certainly in terms of tangible figures, Everton saw enough to sign George permanently.
He was not the only new signing confirmed on Monday, meanwhile, with Everton finally getting their transfer business up and running.
Dwight McNeil was among those to react to both pieces of business.
Everton business up and running as two signings announced
George will hope to have more consistent playing time under David Moyes next season.
Rohl spent the duration of last season on loan with Everton from Freiburg.
And Everton, somewhat under the radar, announced the permanent signing of Rohl shortly after George's arrival was confirmed.
The 24-year-old midfielder was always expected to join this summer, but Everton delayed official news of the deal.
Everton now have three deals in the bag - albeit two of those are not exactly new faces - with Hayden Hackney the other to arrive.
A deal broke down late on deadline day in February, but there is a chance the wideman could depart this window.
That would mean McNeil having to drop down a level, albeit he would likely play far more regularly.
Everton would be happy to get him off their books, but it is then down to the small matter of reaching an agreement over a fee with West Ham.
As of now, though, he is clearly pleased with the business he is seeing taking place at Hill Dickinson judging by his social media activity.
