Arsenal U21s have returned (via arsenal.com) for pre-season training, with Ismeal Kabia amongst those to feature in the first session.
Kabia is back from a successful loan spell at Shrewsbury Town and was joined for the session by Louie Copley, who spent the second half of last season at Crawley Town. Goalkeeper Lucas Nygaard, meanwhile, is back from a loan at Brabrand.
Arsenal U21s are currently without a permanent manager following Max Porter’s departure, with David Horseman taking charge of the session and Ken Gillard also present.
Defender Jaden Dixon is back in training after injury, while the likes of Andre Harriman-Annous and Ife Ibrahim also participated.
Some younger players were involved, including the likes of Marli Salmon, Abraham Owusu-Gyasi, Patrick Stachow and Teshaun Murisa as well as goalkeepers Remi Lupinski and Jack Talbot.
There was no sign of Josh Ogunnaike and Alex Marciniak, who have been offered professional contracts, although this doesn’t definitely mean that they won’t stay at the club.
Defender Brayden Clarke was absent after representing Wales at the U19 European Championship.
Ceadach O’Neill also wasn’t pictured, which could be because of his previous involvement with the Northern Ireland senior team.
Arsenal U21s face Boreham Wood next Friday in their first pre-season friendly.
