Chelsea are close to an agreement with Jesse Derry over a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge after interest from Bayern Munich and other European sides.
As well as the German champions, sources say Juventus also expressed an interest in the 19-year-old winger but the Blues are set to tie him down to fresh terms in west London after impressing academy and first-team chiefs last season. Derry signed for Chelsea less than 12 months ago from Crystal Palace and the wide man spent most of his debut season in the Blues' academy system.
However, after impressing for the Development Squad, Derry was promoted to the first team for back-to-back FA Cup victories against Hull City and Wrexham - making cameo appearances off the bench in both ties. Derry then made his full debut for Chelsea's senior side in the defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in early-May.

After looking like one of the Blues' brightest attacking players at Stamford Bridge, Derry was taken off on a stretcher just before half time after a nasty clash of heads and was transported to hospital with concussion. Thankfully, Derry was fine and he even made the bench - without coming on - in Chelsea's final two league matches of the 2025/26 season.

Chelsea chiefs rate Derry massively, sources say, and that is emphasised by giving him new-and-improved terms at Stamford Bridge to fend off interest from elsewhere. Derry will be desperate to leave a strong first impression on newly-appointed Blues manager Xabi Alonso in pre-season and will be hoping to be part of the travelling squad for the upcoming tour of Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Derry will be hoping Alonso warms to him so he will be in and around the first team squad for when they kick off the 2026/27 Premier League season in August away at Fulham.
