Crystal Palace and Manchester United contact player’s agents after Chelsea bid rejected

Crystal Palace and Manchester United are in contact with the representatives of Toulouse youngster Alexis Vossah to keep themselves informed about his situation.

Fussball Europa report, in an exclusive, that the Premier League duo want to be kept aware of the 18-year-old’s situation and any potential transfer moves.

Crystal Palace and Manchester United contact

The website explains that Alexis Vossah continues to be monitored by the Premier League, with Chelsea previously showing interest in him. Sport Witness reported on their interest last year.

According to Fussball Europa, that developed into a bid at the time worth €8m. Toulouse rejected it and Chelsea did not return.

Vossah, though, went on to further establish himself at the French club last season. In September last year he signed his first professional contract with the club after making his senior debut just a few weeks earlier.

Last season then proved to be a breakthrough one for him, climbing up the ladder quickly and playing regularly in midfield. That has caught the attention of clubs in Europe. Crystal Palace and Manchester United in particular are in contact with Vossah’s ‘team of advisors’ to ‘keep abreast’ of developments.

€25m asking price

They’re not the only suitors either. There is every chance that Chelsea will revive their interest following their failed bid last year. They’ve been watching the youngster for some time.

There have not been any concrete moves from Crystal Palace, Manchester United or Chelsea as yet. Toulouse are demanding a €25m fee and are protected by a contract that runs until 2028 anyway. The French side are in no rush to sell this summer.

Vossah, though, is a talent that is gaining recognition. Even while playing for Toulouse’s U19 side, which he captained, he stood out for his ‘tactical abilities’.

His ability to play in defence or midfield and his ‘two footed qualities’ have also been noted. Now the Premier League trio are watching closely, ready to move.
