Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam is a potential target for Galatasaray as they seek to improve their midfield options this summer.

Everton man targeted
According to the website, Galatasaray are turning their attention to ‘young, promising players’ and have to names in the Premier League on their list. Tim Iroegbunam is one of them. Chelsea’s Andrey Santos is the other.
The Turkish side are looking to add players who can contribute now but also in future. The Everton man has earned their attention for his ‘physical strength and combative style’. At 23-years-old old, he is sufficiently experienced but also still one for the future.
He is currently at the top of Galatasaray’s list. They have watched the midfielder closely, highly valuing his ability to win the ball and tenacity in one on duels in the middle of the park. They are focused on the ‘resilience’ he can add to midfielder rather than his goalscoring contribution.
€18m valuation
Everton currently rate him at €18m, but the midfielder is in the final year of his deal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. That means such an asking price can be driven down, lest the Toffees risk losing him on a free next summer.
It also remains to be seen whether David Moyes and co want to sell Tim Iroegbunam this summer. On the one hand, he represents a major profit for them following his low cost move from Aston Villa.
And they have already strengthened in that department this summer with the arrival of Hayden Hackney and the permanent signing of Merlin Rohl. But Idrissa Gana Gueye appears to be departing and selling him would leave another departure needing to be replaced.
Galatasaray are keen, though, and the right offer could perhaps tempt the Toffees into a sale given his contract situation.
