Liverpool are ready to make a huge push to improve their squad for new manager Andoni Iraola this summer, having made a bid to sign one of the World Cup's top performers.

According to a report by Azteca Puebla, Liverpool have made a bid worth $20m (£14.9m) to seal a deal to sign Mexico's standout teenager Gilberto Mora this summer.
The 17-year-old, who has been compared to Barcelona star Pedri, was in remarkable form for the host nation, starting in central midfield and helping Mexico reach the last 16 stage, where they were eliminated by England in a thrilling clash that ended 3-2.
But his performances have seen him earn global recognition, and the Premier League giants are now pushing to get a deal done ahead of rivals to secure his long-term future at Anfield.
Mora is considered to be 'one of the best' midfield prodigies in world football currently, and his agent Rafaela Pimenta has already revealed that he is expected to leave Mexico and transfer to a top European league in this window.
Liverpool have already tabled a big offer to convince him and his club that they should be his next destination, but they are facing huge competition, and face a fight to seal his signature.
