Liam Rosenior has returned to management fewer than three months after his dismissal by Chelsea after he was confirmed as the new boss of Paris FC.
The former Derby County boss has prior experience managing in France with Strasbourg before his appointment at Stamford Bridge.
He succeeded Enzo Maresca but endured less than four months in charge, departing during the Blues' worst winless and goalless league streak for 114 years.
He has swiftly secured employment however, and Rosenior will now assume control from Antoine Kombouare at Paris FC, who secured 11th place in Ligue 1 last season. That marked Paris FC's inaugural campaign in the French top division for 46 years following their separation from Paris Saint-Germain in 1972.
The club's sporting director Marco Neppe stated: " Liam Rosenior brings together all the qualities we were looking for. He is a modern, demanding coach and recognised for his ability to help both the players and the team progress.
"Beyond his tactical skills, we were particularly attracted by his management qualities and his ability to unite a group around a clear vision."
Rosenior has penned a two-year deal with Paris FC and will aim to revitalise his managerial career, which was steadily ascending at Strasbourg, where he had consistently exceeded expectations. Paris FC are owned primarily by the family of French businessman Bernard Arnault, with energy drinks giant Red Bull maintaining a minority shareholding.
Antoine Arnault, representative of the owners, said: "My family and I are very happy to welcome Liam back to our club and to see him return to our league in France. I have always been impressed by his playing philosophy and what he has built with his teams, often composed of young players.
"Working closely with our Sporting Director, Marco Neppe, he will be able to shape our men's team, which resumes training in a few days. Many players have expressed their enthusiasm, and we share it, as he perfectly embodies the project we want to implement to establish Paris FC permanently in Ligue 1 and to progress each year, both in our play and in our league position.”
Chelsea's present ownership have cycled through managers rapidly, yet their tenures in west London haven't prevented them securing prominent positions elsewhere. Thomas Tuchel assumed the Bayern Munich role following his departure from the Blues and is currently spearheading England's World Cup campaign.
Graham Potter, the initial appointment by Todd Boehly and colleagues, also featured at the major tournament with Sweden, alongside Mauricio Pochettino. He guided hosts USA before their aspirations were crushed by Belgium in the round of 16.
Maresca, dismissed by Chelsea in January, has recently been announced as the successor to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Having previously worked as an assistant at the Etihad, he will now have his finest opportunity to claim the Premier League title as a manager.
