Many Chelsea fans are against the idea of selling Andrey Santos this summer, however would struggle to say no if it came as part of a swap deal for Alex Scott.
Santos is demanding more minutes next season under Xabi Alonso, a promise that looks difficult to keep given the current construction of the middle.
It is looking increasingly likely that Enzo Fernandez is going to stay at Stamford Bridge, and he will surely return as a crucial player in Alonso’s squad.
Santos is one of Chelsea’s most-underrated players 🧩
Man United and Newcastle are interested.
Chelsea could benefit from Andrey Santos – Alex Scott swap deal
Santos has emerged on the radar of Manchester United, however Chelsea can pose the question of a potential swap deal with fellow Premier League side, Bournemouth.
The 2026/27 season is set to be exciting for the Cherries, with them being in Europe for the first time in the club’s history.

Alex Scott’s brilliance was a key reason behind their sixth-placed finish, and is a player who would certainly strengthen the current options at Stamford Bridge.
He is already ahead of Santos in terms of development, and despite the Blues signing the Brazilian young, they are the same age.
Even if Fernandez was to leave, Chelsea would be looking at signing a new midfielder who would take away from Santos’ opportunities.

Chelsea expected to make a move for Scott
Chelsea were watching Scott throughout the 2025/26 season, and as per Simon Phillips, are expected to make a move to try and sign him this summer.
He said: “We understand Chelsea are expected to test Bournemouth’s resolve at least this summer with an offer for Scott, albeit likely to be an unofficial verbal offer.
“Chelsea have really liked Scott for a while now and have been scouting him all season. The problem is that Bournemouth at this moment have no intention of selling Scott and have even offered him a new contract.”
