Jay Harris and Patrick Boyland report for The Athletic that Everton have Arsenal right-back Ben White on their summer shortlist, but they’re also interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence.
Guela Doue is another player drawing Everton’s interest, but the Strasbourg defender is reportedly likely to be too expensive, pushing the Toffees towards Spence or White instead.

White’s situation is a little unclear at the moment, with Gary Jacob reporting for The Times recently that the player’s future is “clouded by injury”.
Jacob added that White is drawing interest from fellow Premier League sides Everton and Crystal Palace, and that he’s “unlikely to take a drop in level” this summer.
Over the final few months of the 2025/26, it began to look increasingly likely that White would be on the way out in the summer. But we’re now almost in July, and if anything, reports are now much less certain about the defender’s fate.

White’s injury is obviously having a significant impact. A Premier League club that might have been willing to pay a good fee for a fully-fit White might now think twice or lower their offer in light of his knee injury.
Arsenal confirmed in May that White had suffered a significant medial knee ligament injury, and that they were aiming to have him back for their pre-season preparations later this year.
Perhaps that will lead to interested clubs firming up their interest as and when they see White back out on the pitch. If Arsenal do get any offers before then, they may not be the kind of offers the club are looking for.
