Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard has not reached an agreement to move to Turkey this summer, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners recently finalised a £17 million deal with Besiktas for the potential transfer of Leandro Trossard.
The Belgian is presently at the World Cup and will only discuss personal terms on his return from the tournament.
Meanwhile, there has been some talk that Odegaard has reached an agreement to follow Trossard to Turkey.
The Athletic have now labelled the story as ‘inaccurate’.
Odegaard’s focus is fully on Norway’s World Cup campaign, and he remains ‘very happy’ at Arsenal.
Odegaard unlikely to leave Arsenal this summer
The Norway international had an injury-disrupted 2025/26 season with the Gunners.
He picked up a couple of freak shoulder injuries at the start of the campaign before an unfortunate long-term knee issue. He continued to struggle with his knee during the second half of the season.
Despite this, the 27-year-old managed nine goal contributions, including the assist for Leandro Trossard’s winner at West Ham United, which proved crucial in securing the Premier League title.
Odegaard has started to find his best form for Norway with three assists at the World Cup.
The former Real Madrid man has entered the last two years of his Arsenal contract, but BBC Sport have previously claimed that manager Mikel Arteta is ‘minded to keep his captain‘.
We believe next season could be make-or-break for Odegaard. The £30 million signing has the chance to redeem himself with regular goal involvements while staying injury-free.
A successful campaign could lead to a renewal. Otherwise, he could be offloaded next summer.
