Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for Alejandro Garnacho this summer with numerous clubs interested in the Argentine's signature.
football.london brought you the exclusive story on Monday afternoon that the Blues will only be open to permanent offers for Garnacho, with a loan out of the question. Sources say no club-to-club discussions have taken place just yet but there is a willingness on Chelsea's part to offload Garnacho after an underwhelming debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old winger finished the 2025/26 season with eight goals in all competitions for the Blues, but only one of those strikes came in the Premier League. With a big decision already made in relation to Chelsea's stance over a sale, our Blues writers Bobby Vincent and Sam Truelove are in agreement when it comes to whether or not the club are making the right call:

When everyone was writing off Garnacho before he even kicked a ball in Chelsea colours, I felt sorry for him. Still a young lad with a not-so-good reputation, that he unfortunately is likely to carry around for the rest of his career, and people were already criticising him before he put on the shirt.
That was harsh, yet those doubters were proven right. It was a really tough season for Garnacho last time round and while he scored eight goals all in all, the fact only one of them came in the Premier League is really disappointing.
There is no doubt Chelsea can improve. There are better options out there. Who? Well, that's a question for another day.
What I will say in Garnacho's defence is: Stamford Bridge insiders have been nothing but complimentary about the Argentine's attitude, application and professionalism ever since he made the £40million move from Manchester United last summer. There was - and still is - a lot of noise about Garnacho's past behaviour off the pitch but Chelsea did their due diligence in that respect before signing him.
Either way, if Chelsea can get their £40m back - or thereabouts - then they should look to move him on this summer.

Garnacho had a mixed first season at Stamford Bridge and his future remains up in the air. The former Man Utd man scored eight goals and contributed four assists in 43 appearances for the Blues but he struggled for consistency throughout the campaign.
He is only 22 years old, though, and there's no doubt he has bags of potential. I do actually quite like him as a player but Xabi Alonso has a fair few options who can play off the left, such as Jamie Gittens, Pedro Neto, incoming signing Geovany Quenda and youngster Jesse Derry.
Alonso may want to look at Garnacho up close during pre season before making a decision on the Argentina international's future. If the Spaniard does not see the winger in his plans, though, the club must be ruthless and sell him. A permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy may be the best outcome as it will not benefit anyone if Garnacho sits on the bench for a season.
