Liverpool’s new away kit for 2026/27 will include a purple design for the goalkeeper as the latest leak reveals the shorts and socks to match.
The new home shirt has already been unveiled and debuted by the club, with Adidas throwing back to a classic look to commemorate their second season back with Liverpool.
As for the away kit, it has become no secret, thanks to various leaks, that it will be white with red detailing.
Adidas have continued to utilise retro details, as they did last season, by using their classic Trefoil logo and the club’s 1990s badge.
The point of difference on the kit itself for the new season is the pattern across the front, which is inspired by ticket stub designs from the 1970s.
The shorts have a retro-inspired crease, as per the reliable Footy Headlines, and the socks have hoop detailing on the cuff and on the tube, completing the away design.
As with all Adidas offerings, it will be available in long sleeve.
Liverpool’s purple goalkeeper away kit
While the outfielders’ away kit is a thing of beauty, the goalkeeper strip will divide opinion.
Based off the 1994/95 goalkeeper shirt, the new top takes inspiration by incorporating the rounded off rectangle pattern but in a subtler manner.
With black sleeves that include Adidas’ white three stripes surrounding the purple chest, it continues the manufacturer’s trend of harking back to bygone eras by adding a modern twist.
Like the outfielders’ white shirt, the Adidas Trefoil logo sits in one corner, as the classic LFC badge emblazons the other.
David James was the goalkeeper chiefly responsible for modelling the 90s edition; this time around it will be Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili to wear the eye-catching purple strip.
The away kit is expected to be unveiled in July.
