As exclusively reported by Arseblog News on 8th April, Arsenal Women have signed Swiss midfielder Geraldine Reuteler on a free transfer from Frankfurt. Arseblog News understands that she has sogned a four-year deal. Arsenal tried to sign the 27-year-old last summer too but Frankfurt were not open to a sale.
Reuteler spent eight seasons at Frankfurt, scoring 54 goals and providing 44 assists in 184 appearances. She has made 91 appearances and scored 17 goals for Switzerland. Reuteler is known for her energetic style in midfield, she can operate in all three midfield positions as well as wide on the right. She will wear the number 14 shirt at Arsenal.
‘Arsenal is one of the best clubs in the world and I’m so proud that I can be here,” said Reuteler. ‘I love the way this team plays and I can’t wait to test myself against the best players here in the WSL. I want to add to the history and success of this football club and I’m looking forward to walking out at the Emirates in front of all our supporters.’
