A VERSATILE FORWARD

Géraldine, shortened to Géry, is a Swiss midfielder by trade, but she can also play up front.

She was born in Nidwalden in 1999 and played youth football for FC Stans from 2008. She began her senior career at Luzern in 2014 before completing a move to 1. FFC Frankfurt (who would merge with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2020) in 2018, where she has played until her move to north London.

BACK OF THE NET

There’s no questioning her goalscoring ability. At Luzern, she scored 28 goals in 43 league appearances across the four-year spell.

In 2024/25 at Frankfurt, she scored 10 league goals for the first time, helping the club to a third-place finish in the Frauen-Bundesliga, before getting 13 goal contributions with seven goals and six assists last season.

SUPER SWISS

Géraldine represented her country at under-17 and under-19 levels and made her senior debut in 2017 against England.

At Euro 2017 in the Netherlands, she became the youngest player in the Switzerland team when she started their first group match against Austria, walking onto the pitch next to her idol, Lara Dickenmann.

At Euro 2025, hosted in her homeland, she won Player of the Match in all three group stage games, and played alongside former Gunner Lia Walti. She scored against Iceland and got an assist against Finland to send her nation through to the quarter-finals of a Euros for the first time in their history.

In March she was named Switzerland’s Most Valuable Player of the Year, having previously been named the country’s Player of the Year in 2024.

GETTING INKED

Géraldine likes getting tattoos and has plenty already. Good thing we just signed tattoo artist Georgia Stanway as well!
