Liverpool are stepping up their pursuit for Georgian talent Andria Bartishvili and have reportedly offered a contract to the player.

It was reported towards the end of June that both Arsenal and Liverpool were interested in the 17-year-old.

Bartishvili is an attacking midfielder by trade and currently playing for Georgian side Iberia 1999 on loan from Kolkheti Poti, with the youngster earning attention with his technical quality.

He came through the Dinamo Tbilisi academy, has represented Georgia at youth level, and was named his country’s Under-17 Player of the Year in 2025.

Now reliable Georgian football insider “GEO TEAM”, the same source that broke the story, has reported on X that both Liverpool and Arsenal representatives have flown to Estonia to watch the teenager in action today.

Tallinna FC Flora is facing FC Iberia 1999 in UEFA Champions League qualifying round action tonight amid contract offers from both teams:

“Arsenal and Liverpool directors have arrived in Estonia to watch Andria Bartishvili in action. Today – Andria Bartishvili versus FC Flora identical contract from both team for the 17-year-old talent is ready. Everything up to the kiddo and his family.”

His loan spell with Iberia 1999 is due to run until the end of 2026, after which he is set to return to parent club Kolkheti Poti.

However, his contract with Kolkheti also expires at that point, potentially leaving him available either on a free transfer or for only minimal compensation.

Arsenal is said to be lining up a pre-contract proposal to take advantage of that situation, with the aim of stealing a march on rivals through a Bosman-style move before the chase intensifies.
