Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has informed the Magpies about his wish to join Arsenal during the ongoing transfer window, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The Brazil international is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He had a phenomenal 2025/26 campaign with 15 goal contributions in the top-flight despite an injury.
Arsenal have already expressed an interest in landing the former Lyon man, and they have received a huge incentive now with the player personally conveying his desire to join them.
Ornstein reports that the 28-year-old has communicated his desire to leave to the Magpies. He wishes to join the Gunners, who are preparing a deal worth £60 million for his services.
There are no club-to-club talks at the moment, while Newcastle are still not entertaining any bids.
