Liverpool has been linked with plenty of wingers already this summer, with the Reds still looking for the heir to Mohamed Salah’s throne.
On the face of it, it’s a search that seems almost impossible, given what Salah brought to Anfield. Just a few days ago, the Egyptian was voted Liverpool’s fourth-greatest player of all time, underlining just how hard an act he will be to follow.
The Reds thought they had the perfect option earlier in the summer as they pursued Yan Diomande, but the RB Leipzig star had other ideas, and has now decided he wants to join Paris Saint-Germain instead, leaving Liverpool to look elsewhere.
There’s no shortage of names to consider, with Bradley Barcola the most prominent and high-profile of the alternatives to have been considered. Other names include Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, FC Koln’s Said El Mala, and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
There is another player though that has been touted, and will likely be on the move before the end of the window. Crysencio Summerville is an option that has been previously tipped for a move to Anfield, and not just this summer.
With West Ham having been relegated from the Premier League, the smart money is on the Netherlands international - who played in all four of his country’s games at the World Cup, scoring twice and bagging two assists in the process - leaving the London club, and Liverpool is claimed to be in the running for his signature.

According to Caught Offside, Liverpool has made a “serious move” for Summerville. The 24-year-old is also said to be gaining interest from Manchester United, as well as Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.
It’s suggested though that the Reds could capitalize on the current situation in the transfer market, with United focusing more on midfield, while the other three teams mentioned are only monitoring the player at the moment.
It’s claimed that West Ham’s public stance is it wants around $67 million (£50M), but in private, it could end up considering offers between $40 million (£30M) and $54 million (£40M).

Liverpool.com says: It doesn’t seem like Summerville is too high on the list for Liverpool, although there has been some interest there. Whether he’s the right option this summer though is questionable.

At 24, you would’ve hoped he could have really kicked on in his career, and although he was one of the better players at West Ham last season, there would be doubts about whether he could make the step up at Liverpool.
He could still be a viable option, but only if the Hammers are willing to let him go for at the lower end of that price range. Even then, there are other names that seem to be ahead of him.
