Manchester City poised to sign Arsenal teenage sensation after £10M Jeremy Monga capture

* Arsenal are set to lose academy midfielder Mishel Nduka to Manchester City

* Nduka will be City’s second high-profile academy capture this summer, after Jeremy Monga

* City advances for Nduka come after the Gunners were firmly set on retaining him for the future

**Manchester City are set to add some quality depth to their academy as they close in on the signing of Mishel Nduka from Arsenal, as per a recent report.**

While some of the higher-profile moves for **Manchester City’**s squad this summer have been regarding the signing of **Elliot Anderson** from **Nottingham Forest** for a club record fee of £116 million, the Etihad Stadium brass have been hard at work securing some bright pieces for the future.

City have a deal worth £10 million in place for **Leicester City** wonder winger **Jeremy Monga** as club officials recruit the best talent in the country for the years to come, having hijacked **Arsena**l’s pursuit of the teenager to make a statement start to the transfer window.

However, the Sky Blues aren’t apparently done adding to their prospects and have won the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Mishel Nduka, as reported by the [Daily Mail’s Isaan Khan](https://www.dailymail.com/sport/football/article-15962005/Arsenal-latest-blow-academy-star-16-Man-City.html).

The move to Manchester City comes after a lone season with Arsenal for Nduka, who joined the north London side from **Charlton** in September 2025.

The 16-year-old’s first season with the Gunners saw him make 10 appearances in the U18 Premier League, two outings for the **Premier League** 2 side and a lone game in the **UEFA Youth League**.

It’s worth pointing out that City aren’t just getting a domestic proven prospect, with Nduka already having been part of **England**‘s U16 setup – making seven appearances for the young Three Lions, amassing 444 minutes on the pitch.

Manchester City’s swoop for Nduka comes as the Gunners were heavily interested in keeping the 16-year-old around, according to Khan, but with his contract running out recently, it has opened the door for teams across the country to stake a claim for the highly-rated midfielder.

City have made a statement start to the summer transfer window with the arrival of Anderson and director of football **Hugo Viana** is eyeing further incomings as the Blues embark upon life under newly-appointed manager **Enzo Maresca**.
