Leandro Trossard’s agent and lawyer are currently in Istanbul as they finalise a move from Arsenal to Beşiktaş.
Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reports on the matter today, including an image of the pair at a restaurant holding a meeting with an unidentified third party.
Arsenal man’s agent spotted
According to the Turkish journalist, Leandro Trossard’s representative Dirk Hebel is currently in Istanbul with lawyer Anıl Dinçer to finalise his transfer to Beşiktaş. He provides no further information on the 31-year-old than that.
HT Spor then provide a similar update, from their journalist Oğuzhan Genç. He first reports that a ‘critical meeting’ is taking place to secure the Arsenal forward this summer.
“Today, a critical meeting will take place between Beşiktaş and Trossard’s representatives,” he said.
“The player is now warming up to the idea of playing for Beşiktaş; it’s also possible to say that the differences regarding the amount and contract duration are gradually diminishing.”
He then followed that up by explaining that the move to Beşiktaş is being driven by their president Serdal Adah.
“President Serdal Adalı is quite insistent on the player,” he added.
“The goal; to quench the fans’ longing for that goal-scoring left winger. For that reason, Beşiktaş has steeled itself for the Trossard transfer. They’re pushing all the conditions.”
Beşiktaş pushing
Beşiktaş’ move for Leandro Trossard has been slowly developing while he’s been at the World Cup with Belgium. Sport Witness have covered several reports on the matter in the last few weeks.
One of those reports, on July 3rd, explained that a meeting had taken place to try and get the deal over the line.
A follow up to that then explained that Trossard’s agent was travelling to Türkiye to finalise the deal. All aspects of the transfer had, reportedly, been agreed and sealed.
Now the matter appears to be progressing and Trossard will be leaving Arsenal in the coming weeks and heading to Beşiktaş.
