Both Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are set to remain at Newcastle United during the ongoing summer transfer window, sources have told Essential Football. Despite speculation, the two full-back will remain in place at St. James’ Park for now.
There is an ongoing exodus at St. James’ Park, following Newcastle’s 12th-placed finish in the Premier League table at the end of last season.
Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon have already left the club to join Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona respectively, while Bruno Guimaraes is nearing a move to Arsenal [via David Ornstein on X].
However, this is not the case for Hall and Livramento. Previously, Hall had been linked with a move to Manchester United, according to a report from transfer specialist Ben Jacobs [via The United Stand on X].
Right now, unless the Red Devils can tempt the former Chelsea academy graduate away with a gargantuan offer, he will stay where he is.
As well as this, both Liverpool and Bayern Munich had a ‘keen interest’ in Hall back in May, as stated in a report from TEAMtalk. Regardless of this, nothing has developed in the following weeks.
Additionally, both Arsenal and Manchester City had been interested in a transfer for Livramento back in June. Nevertheless, according to TEAMtalk, neither party is willing to meet Newcastle’s valuation of the player, which is thought to be in excess of £58 million.
Livramento was part of Thomas Tuchel’s England 2026 World Cup squad, but was forced to pull out after suffering an injury. Hall, meanwhile, was left out, much to the chagrin of Three Lions supporters.
Hall joined Newcastle in 2023 for a fee of £35 million from Chelsea, while Livramento was snapped up that same year from Southampton to the tune of £40 million.

How important are Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento to Newcastle?
Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are amongst the best full-backs in the Premier League. Both are excellent defensively, whilst also being able to make a significant contribution in the attacking third of the pitch.
Livramento often struggles with injuries, having only played in 17 of Newcastle’s 38 Premier League games last season. When fully fit, he is an invaluable asset, being able to play as both a right-back and a left-back with little to no issues.
Likewise, Hall is an equally pliable defender. He excels at left-back, but can fill in on the other flank if he needs to. Notably, he managed to keep Lamine Yamal quiet during Newcastle’s first-leg Champions League tie against Barcelona last season.
On top of this, they’re both very young – Livramento is 23, while Hall is just 21. They both have an enormous amount of potential in the modern game – as such, Newcastle would do well to hold onto them for as long as possible.
