All you need to know about the fans' verdict on Enzo Maresca as Pep Guardiola's replacement:

After a lengthy negotiation period, Manchester City confirmed Maresca as their new head coach on June 29, replacing Guardiola, who stepped aside at the end of last season.

Maresca has history with the Blues, having managed the academy and been part of Guardiola's backroom staff during the Treble-winning season.

That pedigree at the club appears to have given him the backing of a fair share of supporters. 2,318 City fans took part in a recent MEN poll asking whether they were happy with Maresca's appointment.

50 per cent of respondents said they were happy with the Italian head coach taking charge.

Just 14 per cent said they were not happy with his arrival. Meanwhile, 36 per cent were not sure, suggesting they are willing to give the new man time before making a judgement.

Since this poll, City have confirmed who will be joining Maresca in the dugout next season.

Roberto Vitiello, Willy Caballero, Danny Walker, Michele De Bernardin, Marcos Alvarez, Denis Silva and Javier Molina are all fresh appointments. They have all worked with Maresca previously.
