An agreement that will see Jurgen Klopp replace Julian Nagelsmann as the new head coach of Germany is edging closer to completion with details of his contract length emerging.
According to BILD, Klopp will remain with the Red Bull group as a brand ambassador. The suggestion was always that the German's current employer wouldn't stand in his way once Nagelsmann resigned.
Klopp has agreed to sign a four-year deal with his country. He will therefore oversee Germany at the European Championship in 2028, which will be held in Great Britain, and the 2030 World Cup in Spain, Morocco, and Portugal.
The suggestion is that he will earn a similar amount of money to Nagelsmann in the role, an annual salary of around $8.0 million (£5.9 million).
Klopp's former assistants at Liverpool, Peter Krawietz and Pep Lijnders, are expected to join his Germany staff. The latter worked under Pep Guardiola last season but left Manchester City at the same time.
Meetings are still taking place, so the agreement may not be made public yet. But Klopp, as has been expected for some days now, will be Germany's next head coach.

Red Bull chief Oliver Mintzlaff is set to fly into New York. The contracts are not expected to be fully signed and sealed until all parties have returned to Germany.
Klopp could then make his first official appearance as the German national team coach at the Supercup final on August 22.
Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund, Klopp's old team, will host Bayern Munich.
His first game in charge of the German national team could be against the Netherlands in September. There is even a possibility that Arne Slot, who has been linked with the Dutch vacancy, could be his opponent.

"Regarding the appointment of a new coach, the DFB leadership will now seek talks with Jurgen Klopp," the German FA said in a statement last week. "He has already signaled his general willingness to take on the position."
"I've done a lot of thinking in the days since our elimination and have consulted with trusted individuals both personally and within the federation," Nagelsmann explained when he stepped down.
"The decision was anything but easy for me. My top priority has always been the team's success. After such a bitter disappointment, they deserve the chance for a fresh start."
