The 24-year-old is of interest throughout the pyramid, and made his first impression at international level by keeping consecutive clean sheets in his first two games for Nigeria.
It was thought that Okonkwo could be Wrexham's number one for a long time, but a contract extension does not appear to be imminent.
Should he leave, the Arsenal goalkeeper will be viewed as a significant loss for Parkinson's team.
