Tomas Aranda looks set for a transfer to Arsenal, as per the latest news. The Gunners are preparing a bid to acquire the young sensation from Boca Juniors.
Aranda to join the Gunners by next season?
The 19-year-old Aranda may join the Gunners for the 2026-27 season, as reported by CaughtOffside. The North London club are preparing a bid of over €20 million for the Boca Juniors midfielder. This is because Aranda has a release clause of €20 million. The only way the Gunners can make a better offer is by paying in instalments. Moreover, Arsenal are impressed with Aranda’s performance and aim for a long-term acquisition.
Aranda joined the Boca Juniors’ senior team in January this year. He played very well for the club and scored a goal and two assists within a few months. Previously, Aranda played for the team’s youth academy between 2018 and 2026. Before that, he played for the youth academy of Club Atletico Ituzaingo.

Benefits of Aranda’s potential Arsenal entry
Aranda will be a bonus to Arsenal’s midfield lineup. He is capable of leading the attack if necessary. He can create opportunities for his team with his passes and score goals simultaneously. This will benefit Arsenal a lot if he agrees to join the club next year.
After their dream run at the 2025-26 Premier League, Arsenal aim to maintain the winning momentum in the 2026-27 season. Team manager Mikel Arteta knows that he cannot afford to be complacent. That’s why the management is seeking quality midfielders like Morgan Rogers, Sandro Tonali, and Ayyoub Bouaddi among others. It would be interesting to see how Aranda fits into the future lineup. The North London club also renewed interest in securing a transfer move for Danish defensive midfielder Morten Hjulmand. Recently, Sporting CP denied an offer from Atletico Madrid for Hjulmand [who is also the team’s current skipper].
Aranda has a bright future ahead with Arsenal if he agrees to a potential deal. He wasn’t included in the current Argentina team for the ongoing FIFA World Cup. However, he was included in the team for the two friendlies ahead of the 2026 World Cup. This speaks a lot about his future.

The Gunners will have to make a clear plan if they want Aranda in Emirates Stadium for the upcoming season.
Aranda has worked wonders for Boca Juniors in just a few months of his senior debut. If he joins Arsenal, he can ensure a bright future for himself. It would be interesting to see if Aranda is equally interested in joining Emirates Stadium next year or not.
