Liverpool are said to be considering a Premier League star to replace Mo Salah this summer. The Reds have already bolstered their wing positions with the signing of Osasuna and Spain youngster Víctor Muñoz, but they are not done there.
It's clear that Andoni Iraola wants a high-profile winger to replace Salah, and those efforts are ongoing, with Ivory Coast and RB Leipzig superstar Yan Diomande being heavily linked with an Anfield switch.
But it seems Liverpool may now be turning their attention to a Premier League target, with PSG said to hold an advantage in the race to sign Diomande.
Liverpool turn attention back to Yankuba Minteh

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool maintain interest in Brighton winger Yankiba Minteh, who has been on their list all along. It's claimed the Reds could bid for Minteh in the next two weeks, but with the winger under contract until 2029 and still only 21 years of age, Brighton are likely to demand huge money. The Seagulls are one of the toughest negotiators in the Premier League, and it's claimed they want between £70million and £80million for their 'lightning-quick' forward.
The report claims Brighton are pointing to Anthony Gordon's £70million move to Barcelona, although one could certainly argue the England international is a much more proven player at this stage.
In any case, Liverpool see Minteh as an ideal fit, given he can play on both sides, and his pace and power will ensure the Reds remain dangerous out wide, even if he still has plenty of development to come to be anywhere near Salah's level.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler praised Minteh in March, highlighting his 'unpredictable' style. “We know he can do unpredictable things, he has quality not a lot of players have and I’m really happy for him,” the Brighton boss said.
“He overcame a difficult phase he went through, he understood what it needs to come back on the pitch and was waiting for his chance. Today he got his chance and he used it in a really positive way. We have to work with him to keep doing unpredictable things offensively but keep being more reliable defensively, keep doing the easy things right in our half.
“We keep working with him, he understood more and more what it needs to work for the team and not only be a great offensive player, but to be there as a defensive player. Therefore he’s going through an interesting process and I’m really happy with how he’s doing it. It’s always important when you have tough moments to also have a positive experience and this goal should give him another boost, should give him confirmation that he’s on the right way.”
