Everton are eyeing a summer move to sign Wolves star Sam Johnstone, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.
The Toffees are looking to climb the table after a 13th-placed Premier League finish last season, and have already added Hayden Hackney to the squad, while Merlin Rohl's loan move has also been made permanent, after David Moyes prioritised strengthening the midfield.
A number of other positions are being eyed up at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and that includes finding competition for current number one goalkeeper and England star Jordan Pickford.
Sources: Everton Want to Sign Sam Johnstone

Johnstone, who has been described as 'special' in the past, spent the majority of the 2025/26 season on the bench at Wolves, playing understudy to Jose Sa during one of the worst campaigns in league history for the club.
But the 33-year-old, who has won four caps for England during his career, is looking to play more regular football and is understood to be open to a move away from Molineux.
GIVEMESPORT sources understand that Everton are among the clubs showing an interest in his signature, as they begin to look for replacements for backup goalkeeper Mark Travers.
Johnstone would definitely not usurp Jordan Pickford as the number one under Moyes, but he would provide a steady backup option who knows the league well and has played at the highest level in his career.
It's unclear how much Wolves would be demanding for Johnstone, who joined in a £10m deal from Crystal Palace in 2024, but has managed just 27 appearances for the club over two seasons.
Travers is expected to depart the Toffees, and GIVEMESPORT sources understand that he is attracting interest from Premier League new boys Coventry City and big-spending Championship outfit Wrexham.
