Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has reportedly asked to leave the club amid interest from Premier League champions Arsenal.
However, Newcastle insist the Brazil midfielder is not for sale under any circumstances.The Magpies have been active in the transfer market, signing Sean Steur from Ajax and agreeing a £50million-plus deal for Switzerland international Johan Manzambi.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have agreed a £50million deal with Chelsea to sign Andrey Santos, who is undergoing a medical.
The midfielder could be joined at Old Trafford by veteran goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who is close to completing a move from Leeds United.
Tottenham are also close to selling Luka Vuskovic to Brighton in a deal that could eventually be worth £50million, while Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
According to BBC Sport, Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Manchester United.
Former Liverpool right-back Williams is currently in talks over a new contract at the City Ground, with Forest keen to reward him for his impressive performances last season. The Wales international has three years remaining on his current deal.
The 25-year-old joined Forest from Liverpool in July 2022 for £12million and has since made more than 150 appearances for the club.
Williams came through Liverpool’s academy and made 33 appearances for the club, winning the Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup and League Cup.
The Wales international enjoyed a memorable senior debut in 2019-20, providing an assist for Divock Origi in Liverpool’s dramatic League Cup win over Arsenal before helping Jurgen Klopp’s side secure their first Premier League title.
Williams later gained Champions League experience, including setting up Curtis Jones’ winner against Ajax, before joining Fulham on loan in February 2022.
After helping Fulham win promotion with two goals and two assists in 15 appearances, Williams completed a permanent move to Nottingham Forest in July 2022.
