West Ham have “targeted” Sunderland winger Simon Adingra, according to reports in the German media.
FussballTransfers.com claim that the Hammers are among the Ivory Coast international’s suitors, with the player set to leave the Stadium of Light after just one season.

Adingra struggled to establish himself after making the move from Brighton to the Black Cats last July for £20.5m (including add-ons).
The 24-year-old played just 15 games, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist, before he was loaned to Monaco during the January transfer window.
It is believed the Ligue One side had the option to buy Adingra for £16m, but they opted against triggering it, leaving the player in limbo.
West Ham won’t be favourites to sign him
Fussball Transfers report that Monaco are still hoping to secure Adingra on another loan deal, but that is unlikely to be an attractive proposition for Sunderland, who were seeking to offload him on a permanent basis.
RB Leipzig are said to have expressed an interest in the Ivorian, along with Serie A side Roma and newly-promoted Premier League clubs, Ipswich Town and Hull City.
For that reason, the likelihood of Adingra choosing West Ham over these teams is pretty slim, as they are the only ones playing in the second tier.

Adingra is one of several wingers being pursued
The former Brighton forward is by no means the only wide player who is on the Irons’ shortlist of transfer targets. There is said to be interest in a current Seagulls player, Amario Cozier-Duberry, who impressed out on loan at League One outfit Bolton Wanderers last season.
Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu and Everton’s Dwight McNeil are the other options that head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly looking at.
With Crysencio Summerville seemingly on his way out of the club, and Adama Traore having already left on a free transfer, recruiting wingers is a top priority for Nuno and new Director of Player Recruitment Nils Koppen.
