Arsenal will have to fork out at least £75 million if they hope to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United this summer.

The Brazilian midfielder has reportedly informed the club that he wants to leave Tyneside to play for the Gunners next season, in a shocking turn of events.

And now, L'Equipe claim that the Magpies' captain has even agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a five-year contract which would see him at the Emirates Stadium until 2031.

There has been no club-to-club progress for Guimaraes just yet, and Arsenal must match Newcastle's £75 million valuation if they hope to land him for 2026/27.

Reports from The Athletic previously stated that Arsenal approached St James' Park's top brass with an initial £55 million offer, which Newcastle swiftly rebuffed given Guimaraes' importance to the team.

There are also suggestions that the North London outfit could go as high as £60m, despite Newcastle demanding £15m more than that figure.

It comes as the Toon Army have already seen several key players leave the club over the past couple of weeks, as they prepare for a major first-team overhaul.

Thousands of Arsenal fans upgraded their matchday last season. This is how they did it.

Arsenal have had a largely slow start to the transfer window, securing Piero Hincapie permanently for £34.5m following a successful loan spell from Bayer Leverkusen.

They have also snapped up Illan Meslier as a free agent to play second-string to David Raya, following the 26-year-old's departure from Leeds United.
