Arsenal Women have signed Ona Batlle on a free transfer following her departure from Barcelona.
Batlle earlier had three years at Manchester United, whom she joined in 2020, making 77 appearances.
She made 114 appearances and scored 14 goals over three seasons with Barca, helping them to three league titles, three Spanish Cups, three Spanish Super Cups and two Champions League titles.
Named in The Best FIFA Women’s 11 in both 2024 and 2025, as well as the FIFPRO Women’s World 11 in 2025, she has earned 76 caps for her country.
Batlle told www.arsenal.com: “Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I can’t wait to feel the joy of playing in front of our supporters at Emirates Stadium alongside so many great players. I want to win trophies and I feel this is the right place to achieve that.”
Head Coach Renée Slegers added: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring Ona to the club. She’s a hugely experienced full-back with strong attacking intent and great physical attributes. She’s a winner and we want to go for more wins together.”
