Turkish Süper Lig club Beşiktaş have reportedly launched a significant bid for Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard as they aim to bolster their squad during the current transfer window, sources have told Turkish-Football.
Trossard’s agent is currently locked in talks with the Turkish giants over a potential summer move.
The Istanbul giants are understood to have submitted a formal offer to the Premier League club for the Belgium international.
Details of the Proposed Transfer
The proposal from Beşiktaş includes a substantial upfront transfer fee, complemented by additional performance-related bonuses. This indicates a strong financial commitment from the Black Eagles to secure the services of the 29-year-old.
An initial transfer fee of €18 million.
An additional €2 million in performance-based bonuses, bringing the potential total to €20 million.
Trossard’s Situation at Arsenal
Leandro Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023. Since his arrival, he has featured regularly for the North London club, providing versatility across the attacking positions.
While he has been a valuable squad member, a potential move to Turkey could offer him a different challenge, possibly a more prominent role, and consistent first-team football as Beşiktaş look to compete both domestically and in European competitions.
The outcome of this bid will be closely watched, particularly by Arsenal fans keen to see how their squad develops ahead of the new season.
