Arsenal man’s agents remain in city for transfer talks–Club agree to all demands

Beşiktaş are now discussing the final details of their move for Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard, with his agents still in Istanbul.

Journalist Gökmen Özcan reports that the Turkish side are now discussing the final details of the move from the Emirates.

Arsenal exit pending

Sport Witness have covered various reports from Türkiye over the last few weeks regarding Leandro Trossard’s potential move to Besiktas this summer.

The latest of those reports, on Thursday, including images of the 31-year-old’s agent and lawyer holding a meeting in Istanbul to discuss the deal.

Gökmen Özcan now provides an update on that. He reports that Beşiktaş are now discussing the final details of their move for the Arsenal forward. Crucially, the player’s representatives have remained in Istanbul to finalise the agreement.

In fact, the ‘agents’ are intending to remain in the city on Friday to watch Trossard’s Belgium take on Spain in the World Cup quarterfinals. Beşiktaş remain the frontrunners for his signature. There has been no contact with Galatasaray or Fenerbahçe.

Beşiktaş waiting

Fellow journalist Fırat Günayer also provides a positive update on the transfer. He insists that there is ‘no reason for a negative atmosphere’ around the Leandro Trossard deal.

According to his information, Beşiktaş has accepted both the transfer fee that Arsenal want and all of the player’s demands. Previous reports have indicated the Gunners want €20m. He does report, though, that there is no official offer on the table at this moment in time.

That could change as soon as this weekend, though, as Beşiktaş are waiting for the ‘international break’ to be over. That, is, presumably, the World Cup. In other words, Beşiktaş are waiting for Trossard to be done at the World Cup before advancing their efforts.

But the fact that the Arsenal forward’s agents are remaining in Istanbul, after already holding talks, is being seen as a positive in Türkiye.
