MLS side Sporting KC have emerged as the new destination for Mohamed Salah after Egypt's FIFA World Cup exit. They are reportedly looking to lure the former Liverpool man, who is a free agent.
According to a report in The Athletic, Salah has not decided on his next club and has many offers on the table. He is keeping all his options open and was focused on the FIFA World Cup with Egypt.
He was captaining his national team at the FIFA World Cup, and his agent, Ramy Abbas, insisted that no decision was made. He added that discussions being 'leaked' to the media were not true, as they have not spoken to anyone about it, and posted:
"Mohamed is doing perfectly fine and neither he nor I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people not involved in them. Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite response but that’s about it."
The MLS side are looking to spend big this summer, and are keen on signing Toulouse winger Yann Gboho and Olympiacos winger Andre Luiz for a reported $18-20 million each. They are still keen on bolstering their attack and see Salah as the ideal experienced player to add.
Apart from Sporting KC, Salah has interest from sides in Europe and the Saudi Pro League. Al Ittihad have reportedly been pushing since they first made their move in 2023 to sign him from Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah took to X (formerly Twitter) to send a message to the fans after their controversy-filled 3-2 loss to Argentina. The Egyptian said that the players gave it their all, and this was just the start of their journey on the international stage.
The former Liverpool star believes that the team can push for more with the support from the fans and said:
"I know you're still upset, but I promise you that I'll do everything in my power to ensure this marks a fresh start for Egyptian football on the international stage. Qualifying for the World Cup won't be enough, and just participating won't cut it either. This team deserves your trust."
Mohamed Salah was dealing with an injury during the FIFA World Cup, but still managed to play all games. He did well in the match against Argentina, but they ended up losing 3-2.
