Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he wanted to bring Ousmane Dembele and Adrien Rabiot to Anfield during his time as manager.
Klopp has made headlines in recent days by revealing that he had a meeting on a private jet with Kylian Mbappe and his family before his move from Monaco to PSG.

However, the 59-year-old also claimed that two other current French internationals could have also played for the Reds:
“Then there was Ousmane Dembele. He ended up going to Dortmund. We met him in Paris. I had the feeling – I don’t even know if he knew who we were. All the agents were there, we had this conversation…”
“Then I left, dropped my phone on the floor, and the only thing I got out of the whole meeting was a broken phone. He went to Dortmund and did pretty well, I’d say.”
“And then Adrien Rabiot. We spoke with his mother. Just like with Mbappe, she was the key decision-maker.”
All 3 players started France’s World Cup quarter-final
Mbappe, Dembele and Rabiot were all named in the lineup by France head coach Didier Deschamps for the 2-0 win over Morocco on Thursday evening.
While Mbappe did miss a penalty in the first half, he made up for it by scoring an outstanding opening goal. Dembele then doubled Les Bleus’ lead.

Liverpool may try to sign another French superstar this summer
While the time has come and gone for the Reds to recruit the likes of Mbappe, Dembele and Rabiot, the Merseysiders remain keen on one of their teammates – Bradley Barcola.
The impending arrivals of Maghnes Akliouche and Yan Diomande at Paris Saint-Germain mean that the 23-year-old could have limited playing opportunities next season.
Furthermore, talks over a new contract have stalled, so PSG could well be tempted to sell the forward before the transfer window closes.
