They claim that both Andoni Iraola’s side and Arsenal have made “identical” contract offers to Bartishvili, but he has yet to make a decision on his future.

It is believed that the teenager is likely to make his choice after the two legs of Iberia 1999’s Champions League qualifier against FC Flora.

That is why both clubs had officials present for the first leg on Wednesday night, where Bartishvili played 80 minutes in a 3-2 win.

Liverpool have several more days to wait for his decision

The second game against FC Flora takes place on Tuesday night (14th July), and we will probably hear about which club Bartishvili has chosen soon after then.

As he is not 18 years of age, the Georgian youth international won’t actually be able to officially move to England before the summer of 2027 due to FIFA rules. His birthday is in March.

What do fans need to know about Bartishvili?

The teenager started out at Dinamo Tbilisi’s academy, but he failed to make the grade, so he opted to sign for Kolkheti Poti on a free transfer at the beginning of last year.

Bartishvili was given his senior debut as a substitute against FC Gagra in March 2025. The youngster made 20 appearances in total before he was loaned out to Iberia 1999 in January this year to get more first-team experience.

He made his debut in March and he scored his first senior goal against Gagra a couple of months ago. Bartishvili is ostensibly a no.10 but can be deployed on both wings if needed.
