Liverpool signing Gilberto Mora would be a major coup
Mora is wanted by some of Europe’s biggest clubs for a reason, and his performances at the World Cup at the age of 17 have shown his potential, averaging 1.3 key passes per game.
The teenager combines quality in possession with a strong work ethic out of it, and manager Andre Jardine has waxed lyrical over his ability recently, saying:
“I’ve dedicated my life to working with young talent in youth systems, and it’s rare to see a player like him. Mexico has a gem here, it’s not normal to see a player like that, he is an exceptional player. He possesses great character, is taking full advantage of his national team experience, and he’s undoubtedly special. I believe he embodies a bright future for Mexican soccer.”
Liverpool should continue to pursue a move for Mora, given his vast promise as a footballer, and beating some of their rivals to his signature would feel like a major coup.
