The latest on reported interest from Sheffield Wednesday in Manchester City’s Jaden Heskey
Sheffield Wednesday are still interested in Manchester City midfielder Jaden Heskey, according a report.
The 20-year-old made his first move away from the Etihad Stadium in January, linking up with Wednesday on a loan deal running until the end of season.
It was a baptism of fire for the playmaker, who walked into a struggling club nosediving towards League One.
Despite the difficult circumstances, Heskey made impressive strides in South Yorkshire and looked more assured as the season progressed.
A report in May indicated Wednesday were exploring the possibility of a permanent deal for Heskey, who is the son of former England star Emile.

Fresh Jaden Heskey claim emegres
The Wednesday Word have followd up by claiming interest from the Owls remains, which would suggest a move could materialise.
Wednesday may well have their eyes on Heskey but there are an array of factors to be considered, the most pertinent of which is Manchester City’s stance.
The Premier League giants hold the cards and it remains to be seen whether they will loan him out, sanction a sale or keep him in the ranks.
There is also the possibility of rival interest to be considered, as admiring glances from elsewhere in the EFL would hardly come as a surprise.
However, Owls boss Henrik Pedersen is known to be an admirer of the midfielder he borrowed earlier this year.
Henrik Pedersen on Jaden Heskey
In April, he said: “He has developed a lot. I think he’s tactially so strong, together with his physical ability and technical ability. The other thing, he is a strong number six because his running capacity is strong.
“His tactics, good as a six. He is starting to be much better on the ball to not only play sidewards and backwards, he starts to speed up the game, bypass many more opponents.

“When he plays the number 10 position, he has this verticality in his run, he has the power, and he’s a fantastic first-pressing player. He can run to space, but he can also receive in the pocket. His way to be a part of something, to see himself as part of the game, I think he’s strong.
“It is a big advantage he can play more positions and it’s a big strength as a young guy that he can change through the game from situation to situation, position to position.”
