Curtis Jones' future at Liverpool remains up in the air, with the midfielder still waiting on a move away from the club.
It looked as though the 25-year-old would complete a move to the San Siro and sign for Inter Milan this summer, but the Italian giants have thus far refused to meet the Reds' asking price for the midfielder.
Liverpool are understood to be demanding €35million (£30million) which is not a price Inter are willing to do business at, despite being in talks over a move to sign the Englishman for some time.
Jones is understood to be keen on a move to the San Siro, but he may have to look elsewhere.

Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio recently said: "Right now there’s a significant gap between our assessments and Liverpool’s. Since he’s a Liverpool player, they have every right to ask for what they legitimately want, but we have every right to decide whether we’re happy with that or not, so right now I’d say it’s a very difficult move.”
And Jones' transfer situation has taken a fresh twist, with news that Premier League side Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with Liverpool to sign him this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Forest have moved to hijack Inter's plans by agreeing a deal for Jones and that the player is now "closer to joining" the City Ground side. Further reports state that Jones has already held talks with new manager Oliver Glasner and is open to a move to Forest.
Galatasaray have also been in the hunt for Jones, leading to both Inter and the Turkish side having to turn their attentions elsewhere in the transfer market.

Jones has been described as "incredible" for his displays at Anfield over the years, but he hasn't done quite enough to secure a place for himself in the team regularly. He played 49 games for Liverpool in 2025/26, scoring three goals and providing three assists, but has just one year left on his contract at Anfield, with Forest taking advantage of the stagnation in talks between Liverpool and Inter to make their move.
Led by Glasner, Forest are looking to bolster their midfield options, having lost Elliot Anderson in a £116million deal to Manchester City, as they look to improve on their 16th-placed finish last time out.
Jones would become Forest's first new signing of the summer if he completes a move away from Anfield to the City Ground.
