Arsenal have watched on at multiple of their summer transfer targets duking it out at the World Cup in North America. Bruno Guimaraes, Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola have all been involved and making impacts.
While Guimaraes has since been eliminated, accelerating the potential for a move with the player having notified Newcastle United of his desire to join Arsenal, the latter pair remain in the tournament and therefore prospective moves for either remain tricky.
Arsenal will now welcome back Martin Odegaard to the club after his holiday following Norway’s elimination at the hands of England in the quarterfinals. Odegaard has been the subject of plenty of speculation already this summer.

Reports had claimed the player had agreed terms with Galatasaray. However, football.london heard from sources close to the player this was not true.
Odegaard remains happy at the club, and Arsenal remain happy with him. Any chance of Odegaard leaving would have required the club to spend millions on a replacement even if Rogers were to have arrived, with the Aston Villa man tipped for a role on the left.
Put simply, Odegaard has been one of the standout players of the tournament. He has equalled and broken records since making his debut at the World Cup finals.
He became the third player since 1966 to record three assists in his first three consecutive World Cup finals matches. Furthermore, his fourth assist, which came against England, took him beyond Dennis Bergkamp as the highest-assisting Arsenal player at a single World Cup.
According to Fotmob, he recorded a 7.6 score in the game against the Three Lions. The scoring system takes into account all the statistical offensive, defensive and possession based metrics to come up with a score.

Only Jude Bellingham, who scored twice, and Ezri Konsa finished the game with a higher score among the England ranks compared to the Arsenal captain. This follows a 7.3 score vs Brazil, a 7.8 score against Cote D’Ivoire and a 7.7 score against Senegal.
Odegaard has had an excellent World Cup and returns to Arsenal a player revitalised. The hope is now that this form translates into the new season and, crucially, he manages to stay fit.
