Inter Milan are preparing to return with a fresh offer for Curtis Jones despite having their previous approach rejected outright, with the reigning Serie A champions refusing to walk away from a transfer target they have coveted for the better part of a year.
According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Inter are set to submit another bid for the Liverpool midfielder after seeing a 25 million euro approach instantly turned away by the club.
Crook also reports that Liverpool remain firm in their position, prepared to keep Jones beyond this summer if their valuation is not met by any interested party.
The development adds another chapter to one of the most drawn-out transfer sagas of the summer window, and one that shows no sign of reaching a clean conclusion any time soon.
Liverpool’s stance has been consistent throughout.
They value Jones at 30 million pounds and have made clear to Inter and every other interested club that falling short of that figure is not a conversation they are willing to have.
Senior figures at Anfield have even indicated they would rather allow Jones to run down the final year of his contract than accept a cut-price deal, a position that gives them leverage but also carries its own financial risk given that his deal expires in June 2027.
