Arsenal are looking for ways to freshen up their squad in the coming weeks, and that means there are expected to be some exits.
The reigning Premier League champions are looking to win back-to-back league titles for the first time in their history, while they are also keen to go one step further in the Champions League, having been beaten in the final by Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.
But the north London club are currently in a position where they must sell some stars to create space for new arrivals, and it has now emerged that one key first-team star is set to depart north London.
Trossard Offered 'Mega Contract' to Leave
Leandro Trossard
According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Gunners winger Leandro Trossard has been offered a 'mega contract' to leave the club and join Besiktas.
The Turkish outfit had a €20m (£17m) offer accepted for the Belgian winger last month, but a deal had been on hold until Belgium's run at the World Cup came to an end - which it did last week following their 2-1 defeat to Spain.
Talks are now ongoing between the player and club over a deal, and it has been reported that Besiktas has done everything possible to get a deal done for the 31-year-old.
Trossard, who has been described as a 'little magician', is expected to make a final decision on a move away in the coming days. Besiktas are optimistic of getting his green light for a deal, but it's understood that the player has several options on the table at this stage.
Arsenal are keen to bring in a new winger this summer, with Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola understood to be the top candidates, and Trossard's exit is likely to trigger a step up in their interest.

Right Decision for Arsenal to Sell
leandro trossard
Trossard has been a top servant for Arsenal since joining the club from Brighton back in January 2023, making 174 appearances for the club, scoring 36 goals and registering 34 assists in the process.
He was also key to them winning the Premier League title in the last campaign. However, his age and the fact that he has entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium means that it's the right decision to let him move on.
He's not going to get any better, and Arsenal are able to earn a decent fee from a player they want to upgrade on. Now they just need to wait for him to give the green light to a move to Turkey.
