Ahmed Ragab reports that UAE Pro League side Al Jazira Club are in advanced negotiations with Arsenal’s Christian Norgaard over a possible summer transfer, after his struggles to break into Mikel Arteta’s team in 2025/26.
Norgaard only joined Arsenal from Brentford in 2025, and he became a Premier League winner in his first season with the Gunners, as well as making his first appearances in the Champions League.
But the other side of the story was that the 32-year-old played just 1,040 minutes, the equivalent of fewer than 12 full matches. For a 63-game Arsenal season, that’s not a lot.

Mads Glenn Wehlast reported for Danish outlet Bold.dk last month that Norgaard could end up being surplus to requirements for Arsenal in 2025/26, and that he could be forced out of the club if he wants to play regular minutes next season.
Norgaard reportedly signed a two-year deal with Arsenal, with the option for a third. As it stands, that extra year isn’t expected to be activated, meaning his deal would be up next summer.
Though Norgaard is well-liked at Arsenal, the club are seemingly open to offers. But Bold.dk claimed a move back to Brondby this summer is probably off the table, as it’s still too soon for a return to his old club.

Norgaard has regularly been listed among the players for whom Arsenal would consider offers this summer, and Gary Jacob reported for The Times in May that the Dane is expected to depart.
The midfielder recently retired from international football, so he won’t even have Denmark games to rack up some minutes next season. If he’s not playing with his club, he won’t be playing at all.
