Former Brighton ace on the move as Arsenal transfer decision made

All the latest transfer news for Brighton and Hove Albion and across the Premier League

Ex-Brighton winger Leandro Trossard looks to be on his way from Arsenal.

Trossard, who moved from Brighton to the Gunners for around £30m in 2023, is set to move to Turkish club Besiktas.

The Belgian international signed for Brighton in 2019 from Genk for around £13m and made 121 appearances for the Seagulls with 25 goals and 15 assists.

Trossard won the Premier League title with Arsenal last season and 36 goals and 34 assists from 174 outings for Mikel Arteta's team.

£15m for Trossard

The 31-year-old has one-year remaining on his contract at Arsenal, with the North London club hoping to achieve around £15m for their winger.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted: “Besiktas are confident to seal all details of Leandro Trossard deal in few days.

“Agreement done with Arsenal at €20m total package confirmed by #AFC.

“Deal until 2029 plus option offered, as @yagosabuncuoglu reports. Final green light needed from Trossard.”

Arsenal hope to revamp their attack for this coming season with Aston Villa and England star Morgan Rogers their top target.

Johan Manzambi to Villa

Elsewhere, Aston Villa are finalising a move to sign Switzerland international Johan Manzambi, according to the Athletic.

The 20-year-old Freiburg midfielder, who has impressed at the World Cup, had looked set to be joining Newcastle.

Manchester United are in talks with Aston Villa in a bid to sign Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Tielemans, who captained his country at the World Cup, still has two years to run on his Villa contract, but United are hoping to lure him to Old Trafford.

Ederson deal stalled

It is understood United’s bid to sign midfielder Ederson from Atalanta has stalled following his late call into Brazil’s World Cup squad.

A £39million fee and personal terms had been agreed for Ederson, but United have switched focus, for now, on to Tielemans.

Bournemouth full-back Alex Jimenez is close to joining Fiorentina on a season-long loan, according to the Daily Star.
